A parable is a simple story that has a deeper meaning to it. The Parables of Jesus were told to teach about the Kingdom of God. This Kingdom exists now as well as in the forever.
This page summarizes how the "Kingdom of God" would be reflected in your values and actions. It is not a review of the stories themselves. The links provided take you to the stories in the scriptures.
The parables are in Matthew, Mark and Luke, some only in one book and others in all three of them. Only one scripture reference is used in this synopsis. To see the other scriptures, click on New Testament Parables - Listing of Scriptures.
