You can’t hear God while arrogant or proud. Instead, something occurs where you shift from thinking you don’t need God to seeing yourself as you really are: You don’t know anything about the things that really matter.  When you reach that point, you can begin to let God work in you.

Matthew 5:3 (TLB) 3 “Humble men are very fortunate!” he told them, “for the Kingdom of Heaven is given to them.
